025-29139-004 (Danfoss AKS 32R, 060G2154) Working Principle
The core is a silicon strain gauge chip: The pressure of the measured refrigerant or oil is transmitted through a stainless steel isolation diaphragm to the silicon sensitive element. The resistance on the diaphragm changes with deformation and alters its value, forming a Wheatstone full bridge, outputting a weak voltage proportional to the pressure.
This voltage is amplified, linearly corrected, and selectively temperature compensated by a dedicated ASIC, and then converted into a ratio (ratiometric) output - that is, 10% to 90% of the supply voltage. When powered by 5V, 0 psi corresponds to 0.5V, and 400 psi full scale corresponds to 4.5V, with a linear range in between.
