The TRANE GKT03865 gasket is an original factory spare part for Trane refrigeration units. It is used to seal the joint surfaces of components, resistant to the erosion of refrigerants and refrigerating oils, effectively preventing medium leakage, and ensuring the sealed and stable operation of the unit.

TRANE FLR01650 Gasket Usage Guidelines

 I. Pre-installation Preparation

1. Sealing Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean the corresponding joint surface of the unit to ensure it is dry, free of oil stains, rust, and metal debris; visually inspect the sealing surface for scratches, pits, deformation defects. If any, repair and level it first to eliminate the risk of leakage.
2. Gasket Verification: Verify that the model is FLR01650. Confirm that the gasket is free of cracks, missing corners, aging and hardening, and surface damage. Do not use gaskets that have been stored for an extended period or have deteriorated in appearance.
3. Auxiliary Materials Compliance: Unless specified by the original manufacturer, do not apply sealant or grease on the gasket sealing surface; if temporary positioning is required, use a small amount of special glue only on the non-sealing edge of the gasket to avoid glue entering the sealing surface and damaging the seal.

 II. Installation Operating Procedures

1. Alignment Installation: Place the gasket in the center of the joint surface, align all bolt holes, and ensure the gasket does not shift or curl to prevent damage to the gasket from bolt tightening.
2. Torque Application: Follow the crossed symmetry (star) sequence** to tighten the bolts in stages: manually tighten all bolts first, then tighten them in three stages according to 30% → 60% → 100% of the rated torque, and finally re-tighten in a clockwise direction to ensure uniform pressure.
3. Torque Control: Use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the torque values specified by Trane for the corresponding model. Do not over-tighten to prevent the gasket from crushing or losing its elasticity permanently.

III. Post-installation Verification and Maintenance

1. Sealing Test: After installation, conduct a nitrogen pressure leak test in accordance with the unit's maintenance standards. Ensure the pressure and duration are appropriate. Confirm there is no leakage before putting the unit into operation.
2. Operation Inspection: Within 24 hours of initial operation, inspect the sealing area for any leakage; during daily maintenance, check the gasket condition during major unit inspections. If there are signs of oil leakage or refrigerant leakage, stop the unit for troubleshooting and replacement.

IV. Storage and Replacement Principles

1. Storage Environment: Store the gaskets flat in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources, oil stains, and direct sunlight. Do not bend or subject to heavy pressure. Avoid premature aging and failure of the material.
2. Replacement Requirements: In general, replace the gasket during unit maintenance. Do not reuse the old gasket that has been disassembled. For units operating under high temperatures for long periods or with frequent start-stop cycles, preventive replacement can be done in advance during annual maintenance.
