The Trane VAL00311C is an original factory spring-type safety valve (Relief Valve / Safety Valve), with a nominal diameter of DN20, a set pressure of 2.07 MPa. It is the final safety barrier in the pressure system of the chiller unit. When the pressure in the condenser, evaporator, or piping exceeds the set value, the valve disc automatically opens to release the medium to the outside of the system for pressure relief. Once the pressure drops to the reseating pressure, the valve automatically closes to restore sealing, effectively preventing the equipment from deforming or even bursting due to overpressure, and ensuring the safety of personnel and the chiller unit. The valve body is made of brass material, which is resistant to pressure and corrosion; the sealing surface is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE/F4) material, with high sealing performance and leakage volume in line with ANSI standards. It is connected by external threads, making installation convenient. It is suitable for overpressure protection of the condenser, evaporator, and compressor cooler of chiller units such as Trane RTHD.
