SEN01985 is a Trane original factory photoelectric oil level (oil loss) sensor, with engineering number X13790834040/-050. It is powered by 24 VDC and can withstand 350 PSI, operating temperature range of 0–110℃. It comes with a 144-inch (3.66 m) cable. The infrared LED uses a transparent prism to distinguish between dry and wet conditions: when dry, it reflects all light back to the photoelectric tube; after immersion in oil, the refraction reduces the reflected light, and a switch quantity signal is output to the oil loss module. It is installed in the oil separator or oil tank to confirm that the lubrication system of the compressor has sufficient oil level. When there is a lack of oil, it will prohibit startup or shutdown, and report "Loss of Oil at Compressor".
