I. Installation Operation Recommendations

Safety Preparations Before installation, the corresponding unit must be shut down, the solenoid valve control power supply and main circuit power supply must be disconnected, and the lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedure shall be implemented. Depressurize the refrigerant pipeline where the valve is installed, and confirm zero pressure in the pipeline before operation. Verify that the nameplate parameters of the valve body (voltage, pressure rating, nominal bore) match the unit design requirements, and ensure the part is the original factory matched model.

Pipeline Pre-treatment Purge the connecting pipeline with dry nitrogen to remove impurities such as welding slag, oxide scale and oil residue. It is recommended to install a refrigerant-specific filter with mesh size ≥100 mesh on the upstream side of the valve, to prevent impurities from entering the valve core and causing jamming. Avoid installing the solenoid valve in low-lying sections of the pipeline, so as to prevent liquid accumulation and impurity deposition.

Valve Body Installation Specifications Connect the pipeline strictly following the flow direction arrow marked on the valve body; reverse installation is prohibited. The solenoid valve shall be installed horizontally with the coil facing vertically upward. Do not install the coil downward or at an inclined angle, to avoid uneven wear of the valve core and medium infiltration into the coil. Never use the coil or solenoid tube as a wrench point during installation, to prevent component deformation and damage.

Connection and Sealing Requirements For welded connections, wrap the coil area of the valve body with a wet towel during welding, to avoid high temperature conduction damaging seals and coil insulation. For threaded connections, apply PTFE thread seal tape starting from the second thread at the end; excessive sealing material entering the valve cavity is strictly prohibited. Eliminate pipeline stress after connection to avoid tensile deformation of the valve body.

Electrical Wiring Requirements The supply voltage shall be consistent with the coil rated voltage, with deviation controlled within ±10%. Fasten the wiring terminals with insulation protection, and equip with grounding protection. Arrange the wiring harness properly after connection, to avoid friction damage against pipelines and metal parts, and keep it away from high-temperature pipeline zones.

II. Daily Maintenance Recommendations

Periodic Inspection (Once a Month) Visually check the valve body and pipeline joints for refrigerant leakage and abnormal frosting. Listen for abnormal buzzing or jamming noise during operation. Inspect wiring terminals for looseness, oxidation and overheating marks. Test the coil supply voltage with a multimeter, to avoid coil burnout caused by undervoltage or overvoltage.

Regular In-depth Maintenance (Every 6–12 Months) Disassemble the solenoid valve after unit shutdown and pipeline depressurization. Clean oil and impurities on the valve core, valve seat, spring and sealing surfaces. Check seals (O-rings, valve gaskets) for aging, cracking and deformation, and replace with original factory seal kits in time if deterioration occurs. Verify smooth movement of the valve core, free of jamming and wear scratches.

Long-term Shutdown Protection When the unit is out of service for a long period, close the manual shut-off valves upstream and downstream of the solenoid valve to isolate the refrigerant medium. A brief power-on test of valve core actuation can be performed every 3 months, to prevent valve core sticking due to long-term static placement. Take moisture-proof measures for the coil in humid environments.

Troubleshooting Tips In case of valve actuation failure, leakage or abnormal noise, prioritize checking power supply voltage, coil continuity and pipeline impurity jamming. Unauthorized disassembly or adjustment of the valve core spring preload is prohibited. For coil burnout or seal failure, replace with original factory parts of the same specification; non-original substitute parts are not recommended.
