Trane VAL01342 Electronic Expansion Valve

This product is a Trane original electronic expansion valve, model VAL01342 (Electronic Expansion Valve / EXV), used for precise control of the refrigerant flow in Trane chiller units.
The electronic expansion valve is the core throttling and regulating component in the refrigeration cycle, installed on the liquid pipe between the condenser and the evaporator. Compared to the traditional thermal expansion valve that works based on mechanical balance of the temperature sensing bulb and diaphragm, the electronic expansion valve is controlled by the system to calculate real-time based on signals such as the outlet temperature difference and pressure of the evaporator, outputting a driving signal to cause the valve core to produce precise displacement, thereby regulating the refrigerant flow. Its advantages lie in fast response, wide adjustment range, and high control accuracy. The unit can maintain a stable temperature difference even when the load fluctuates significantly or operates at partial load, making full use of the evaporation area and avoiding liquid refrigerant returning to the compressor, which causes liquid impact. This helps improve the unit's energy efficiency and operational stability.

When installing, please confirm the interface specifications and flow direction. Before welding, take measures to cool the valve body to avoid damage to internal components due to high temperature. Connect the wiring according to the markings to the control circuit. The connector is designed to prevent accidental insertion and cannot be forcibly inserted. After replacement, start the unit to check if the valve action and temperature difference control are normal, and investigate the causes of the failure of the original valve (commonly caused by dirt blockage, ice blockage, or abnormal driving components).
