VAL05959 Thermostatic Expansion Valve / TXV – 0.88" ODS × 1.13" ODS, For R134A/R404A/R407C, Compatible With Trane RTHD Water-Cooled Screw Chillers

The VAL05959 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed as a compatible replacement for Trane RTHD water-cooled screw chillers. It corresponds to part numbers X05409 GT-5773 / X05409GT5773 and comes with a 0.88" ODS inlet × 1.13" ODS outlet brazing connection. This valve meters refrigerant into the evaporator with precision, maintaining constant superheat across a wide application range — from high and low head pressure conditions to wide load variation and partial load down to 10%. Stable superheat control protects the compressor from liquid slugging while keeping the chiller running at peak efficiency and preventing evaporator freeze-up. Its take-apart construction (power element, cage and flange) allows flexible capacity selection and straightforward field service, while the laser-welded stainless power element resists corrosion for long service life.
